Vernadero Group Inc. is providing design/build services to convert Building 52025 on Fort Huachuca to an Army Wellness Center that will serve Soldiers, retirees, family members, and civilian employees of the Department of the Army. Building 52025 was originally a retail outlet, and restructuring it to be a wellness center involves reworking virtually every component of the 3,500-square-foot building, including the roof, floor, interior walls, interior and exterior doors, wiring and conduits, plumbing, and natural gas piping. In addition to making renovations, we will build a new communications room with associated fiber-optic and telecommunications cables, repair and update the building's façade and porch, and install access, restrooms, and a modified breakroom that will be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. We will also provide landscaping using drought-resistant plants such as ocotillo and candy-barrel cactus and will replant the existing yucca.
